The Internet is rich in WordPress tutorial resources, most of which are in English. Recognizing that many people prefer to learn in their native language, Alexis Fichou offers a solution to the problem by creating a WordPress course for French-speaking students.
Founded Alexis WP Origami, his WordPress training platform helps people succeed with content management systems (CMS). This is currently his one of the greatest resources for learning WordPress in French.
Alexis wants to make creating a WordPress website more accessible and needs an optimized, reliable and user-centric host. Hostinger’s web hosting his plans provide Alexis with tools specifically devised for his WordPress and everything he and his students need to achieve their online and offline goals .
square one
Teaching WordPress was not Alexis’ original idea for success. After graduating from audiovisual school, Alexis struggled to establish a career. He moved from pillar to post, trying various undertakings, but none of them worked.
Alexis wanted to do her own thing and be independent. This mindset led him to experiment with online entrepreneurship.
His first idea was a travel blog. He started tinkering with his WordPress, but quickly gave up because it was too complicated.
“I tried to build a WordPress website for the first time in 2012. A builder like Elementor wasn’t available. WordPress was really different and difficult to learn,” says Alexis.
He turned to dropshipping and tried various website building tools for his online store. After getting to know quite a few users, he decided to return to WordPress.
“It’s flexibility,” explains Alexis. “There are a lot of different CMS out there, each good for a certain type of project. Other platforms make a lot of things easier, but with WordPress you can do it all.”
At the time, Alexis needed to brush up on his WordPress knowledge to get the most out of the CMS. Alexis applied everything she learned to her blog because her practice is the best teacher. He started a project about coffee, which he is very passionate about, and named it after him. nomad barista. Still active today, monthly visitor numbers are his 10,000.
In fact, this is the largest French blog about coffee.
a series of lucky events
In 2019, Alexis started posting Videos about building websites on YouTube. why? Simple enough, he found a lack of French-language videos on the topic.

“I realized that what I learned was worth it,” Alexis recalls with a smile.
Alexis originally covered website building in general. Her first video was about her SEO. He was considering other topics such as his e-commerce, but over time he shifted his focus to what he knew best: WordPress.
This proved to be the right decision and his WordPress tutorials soon became the most viewed. Alexis went even further and recorded several of his 3+ hour videos on CMS to cement his authority and captivate his audience.
With her YouTube videos performing well, Alexis realized she could sell her knowledge for a living. To strengthen the brand, he built his website, a platform for his extensive online courses.

The first learner registered at the beginning of 2020 for €100. Alexis describes the event as an early miracle. Since then, WP Origami has taught over 1,200 students.
“A five-hour YouTube video is very different from a training course, which is always going further. We also cover topics that are not covered on YouTube in our online course.”
WP Origami’s focus on creating long-term learning content means that even minor WordPress updates can be easily adapted by learners as they already have a good foundation.
“Training course materials can become outdated. “But people are resourceful and understand that content creators need time to figure out what’s going on.”
How Hostinger can help
Alexis tried multiple web hosts from WP Origami before switching to Hostinger. Originally planned as a pilot, it turned out to be a long-term partnership.
“I like how Hostinger allows users to start small and evolve from there. It’s great not having a large initial investment and just upgrading when they need more.” That’s it,” he says.
“I also really like Hostinger’s control panel interface. It’s beautiful and pretty uncluttered.
“Compared to alternatives, Hostinger has many features such as CDN, LiteSpeed Cache, WordPress staging tools, etc. It’s convenient and essential on the host side, and it has everything you need.”
Alexis says that having a reliable hosting provider gives her confidence in her work and brings her closer to her goal of making WordPress accessible to French-speaking people through the course.
“Since switching to Hostinger, it’s been great. I feel more proud to say what I have to say. I’m really happy and I feel like I’ve been able to help my students better.”
Alexis is now recommending Hostinger to her students. He says this is the best way to start building his website on WordPress. Hostinger makes the process easy and reliable help is always available if you need it.
A blueprint for the future
WP Origami is no longer a single effort, it has multiple contributors. In the hustle and bustle, Alexis contemplates ideas for the future.
“I think I will continue to create WordPress courses for a while longer and see how it develops. “Now I’m almost the main presenter of WP Origami.”
Alexis sees WP Origami in the future as the right technology company to not only create WordPress courses, but also offer a wide range of other services.
“I want to evolve my project, from simple creators and trainers to companies.
As such, WP Origami is gearing up for expansion while cultivating a new generation of French-speaking WordPress enthusiasts. Responding to a rapidly growing community and its needs is Alexis’ next challenge.
