Introducing Chris Cayden
Chris Caden from Pennsylvania After living in New York City for several years and working as a freelance web and graphic designer, I returned to New York. He also worked for several years as a contributing writer and co-director at the world’s largest short film festivals.
He got his first job in tech when he was 21., working as a printing apprentice at a newspaper company. Chris learned how to create a daily newspaper and started working on advertising for the newspaper. This is his first real experience with design software. Eventually, he started building websites and learning about design, SEO, and social media marketing. Chris is currently his Specialist in Marketing Web and Content for Liquid Web.
Why did you join Liquidweb?
After years of freelancing before joining Liquid Web, I knew it was time for a change. I wanted to use my skills in a different way. At Liquid Web, we use the creative side as well as the technical side every day.
What draws you to the hosting industry as a career?
I saw this as an opportunity to learn something new about hosting and technology. I got interested in hosting because I’ve spent a lot of time working with other companies for my clients.
I have worked with various hosting companies over the years and have had some not so good experiences. However, Liquid Web has excellent customer service and goes to great lengths to keep its customers happy.
Is there anything you particularly like about Liquid Web?
I love seeing the dedication to high standards and how everyone works to achieve them. Liquid Web’s culture is great. I’m part of a great team and their focus on quality and problem solving shows. Everyone has a “can do it” attitude.
What is your favorite part of Liquid Web’s corporate culture?
It’s fun and very productive. everyone has a different background, and each person brings something unique to the table. You can learn a lot just by talking to people.
What’s the biggest milestone you’ve achieved?
In my first year at Liquid Web, I’ve designed over 100 social media graphics and animations, worked on countless website pages, and had one deadline after another. I loved jumping in the depths of the pool and working on multiple projects at once.
What is Liquid Web known for? What specifically do people come to you for?
I am known for my WordPress pages and social media animations. If you see a Star Wars cartoon or Harry Potter fighting a Dementor, chances are I worked on it.
Besides, I’m funny, And I’m very good at pop culture trivia.
What do you want your customers to know about hosting?
I want people to understand that good hosting is the difference between success and failure. As a freelancer, I see bad hosting companies damaging people’s businesses. When your site goes down, it not only looks bad, but you can lose money and customers. I want people to know that good hosting makes life a lot easier and gives you peace of mind.
What is your nickname in Liquid Web and why?
In my best Forrest Gump voice, my name is Chris Caden. People call me Chris Caden.
Aside from work, what are your hobbies?
have been training at martial arts Over the years I have practiced Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Boxing, Tansudo Karate and Jeet Kune Do. what’s your favorite tv show?
Better Call Saul is always watchable, very well written and wonderfully acted.
what is your favorite app?
I love Applebee’s jalapeño poppers. Oh wait, you mean my favorite phone app. I have to say TikTok (although I hate to admit it). I learned a few things from this app. For example, placing tortillas under nachos creates a bowl to add a little at the end. It’s like a bonus burrito. did you know who?
