Meet Christina Green
Christina Green grew up in LansingHe attended Lansing Community College in New York and earned an associate’s degree in Humanities before transferring to Michigan State University. There, she earned a BA in Anthropology with a focus on Archeology, Indian, and Religious Studies.
While in college, she worked at Elderly Instruments, a musical instrument store selling vintage and antique instruments, working in the customer service department and helping customers around the world. She worked with her IT department to streamline processes, train her members of her team, and document her SOPs in digital form.
Her experience there led her to work in more technical support centers. Currently, Green is Senior Manager of Customer Onboarding at Liquid Web.and manages the implementation and migration team.
In December 2021, she moved to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and lives 100% off-grid in a 40-acre cabin.
Why did you join Liquidweb?
For many years I grew up in Lansing, I have many friends and acquaintances who have worked at LiquidWeb. They all said it was a great place to work.
What draws you to the hosting industry as a career?
I can be part of something global.
What do you especially love about Liquid Web?
My mentors and leaders encourage work-life balance. I worked 24/7 in my previous position and experienced burnout. Efficiency and process improvements help balance work and get work done.
What is your favorite part of Liquid Web’s corporate culture?
We welcome and embrace diversity. I can interact with people from all over the world every day.
What’s the biggest milestone you’ve achieved?
For me, it goes beyond my socioeconomic status. I grew up with nothing and had a rough childhood. Despite his excellent grades, he barely graduated high school after leaving home at age 16 and working four jobs to support himself. . Now, I am grateful to own my own property and build a successful career.
Tell us about a great customer experience with Liquid Web.
My favorite customer experience is being able to turn things around. We are happy to help our customers overcome hurdles and take advantage of our great products and services.
What is Liquid Web known for? What specifically do people come to you for?
I’m a fixer People bring it to me when the process is broken or doesn’t make sense. i can improve it. I’m responsible for every part of the Liquid Web process, trying to make it better for our customers, our team, and our business.
Name one thing you want your customers to know about hosting.
We have a team of talented people standing by to help with any hurdles they encounter.
What is your nickname on Liquid Web and why?
some call me Because they bring me a lot of trouble. I will fix them or find someone who can.
Aside from work, what are your hobbies?
i love hikingmaking art (I mostly journal and crochet), growing and preserving food, foraging, sustainable living, self-reliance, identifying trees and plants, chopping wood.
what’s your favorite tv show?
community. My second favorite is Parks and Recreation. Both characters have great growth.
What are your favorite apps?
Whisk! Do you know how to scroll through 19 pages of stories with recipes online? This app bypasses all that. Also, if you want to use up, you can search by ingredients. I live in a remote area and have to cook at home. This app helps me be more creative.
