Meet Jeff Betancourt
Jeff Betancourt was born and raised in Rochester, New York, where he currently lives. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Betancourt started his technical career in the IT department of an aerial imaging and software company. From there, he decided to pursue his project accounting role instead of his city school district’s (RCSD) career. His technical and accounting experience has prepared him to be a perfect fit for his current role at GiveWP. He is currently a Customer Success Advocate for two brands, GiveWP and WP Business Reviews.
Why did you join Liquidweb?
When they purchased GiveWP, we were thrilled to have Liquid Web join us as part of the acquisition.
What draws you to the hosting industry as a career?
I love that Liquid Web has acquired a plugin company to incorporate some of the best WordPress solutions. As a company — GiveWP, arguably the best WordPress donation plugin!
What do you especially love about Liquid Web?
As part of Liquid Web’s software division, I get to work with the most creative and hardworking people on word press.
What is your favorite part of Liquid Web’s corporate culture?
My favorite part of Liquid Web’s corporate culture is that it’s team-oriented. Easily communicate with other employees outside your team Via Slack, Zoom, Google Hangouts and Twitter.
What makes Liquid Web different for you than other employers?
Unlike the corporate world where I used to belong, with strict formal dress codes and rules, With Liquid Web, you can be yourself Wear normal everyday clothes. I feel like this creates a fun atmosphere, knowing that your employer appreciates your work more than if you wear a tie and look at a spreadsheet.
What’s the biggest milestone you’ve achieved?
In 2019, I started working part-time without knowing anything about WordPress, and have grown into a full-time employee who solves customer problems and recovers countless accounts.
Tell us about a great customer experience with Liquid Web.
At GiveWP, customer experience is extremely important. One of the philosophies that our entire team adopts is reducing friction. We strive to anticipate and resolve your problems and needs at the first contact. Adopting this approach has resulted in a lot of great customer experiences and feedback. Among them is the following message received from a customer in September of this year:
Jeff, you are a rock star! thank you! This is by far the best customer service I have ever received in my life and the oldest GenXer ever! I felt respected and well informed. Also, you addressed my concerns and anticipated and resolved additional questions. Thank you again for your great customer service!
What is Liquid Web known for? What specifically do people come to you for?
At Liquid Web, we focus specifically on our customers. Known within GiveWP for fixing customer license and subscription issues, customer account management, and subscription revenue recovery. (I also play a prank on my officemate Michelle Frechette, who still forgets to check the mouse tape when it’s not working.)
Name one thing you want your customers to know about hosting.
We want our customers to know that Liquid Web can solve many problems through hosting And through the many plugin solutions we offer within StellarWP.
What is your nickname on Liquid Web and why?
Has won a Dundee Award Be the best office barista! (A trophy is a comic reference to a TV show. office.)
Aside from work, what are your hobbies?
love to explore the worldwhether it’s a weekend getaway to the Adirondack Mountains or an extended trip to Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and more.
what’s your favorite tv show?
office It’s my all-time favorite TV show.
What are your favorite apps?
I love capital oneWell designed and easy to use. Coming from a financial background, I appreciate that financial apps are secure and designed to meet customer needs.
If you could have dinner with a celebrity [dead or alive]who would it be?
It looks like it would be fun to eat together bad bunnyI’m from Puerto Rico—my heritage, my culture, and the music I love!
