Slave Settings – Input Block #4 – Indicator Filter
See blog post
- MA filter-by-side — If true, the slave will only accept buy trades from the master if the fast moving average is above the slow moving average. Default = false.
For example, if you want to copy buy trades when the 5 period SMA is above the 50 period SMA, indicate MA Filter Buy Side=true and configure MA Filter Time Frame = H1, MA Fast Period=5 and MA. increase. slow period = 50 and MA filter moving average method = SMA.
- MA Filter Sellside — If true, the slave will only accept sell trades from the master if the fast moving average is above the slow moving average. Default = false.
- MA Filter By Side Reverse — If true, the slave will accept buy trades from the master only if the fast moving average is below the slow moving average. Default = false.
- MA Filter Sell Side Reverse — If true, the slave will only accept sell trades from the master if the fast moving average is above the slow moving average. Default = false.
- MA filter timeframe — It shows the MA timeframes of the two moving averages.
- Fast period of MA filter — fast MA indicator period
- MA filter slow period — slow MA indicator period
- MA filter moving average method – indicator method.
- Momentum Filter Buy Side — If true, the slave will only accept buy trades from the master if the momentum value is above the momentum level.
For example, if you want to place a buy trade when H1’s momentum (20) is greater than level=100.2, specify: Momentum Filter Buy Side=true Configure Momentum Timeframe = H1, Momentum Filter Period=20momentum factor=0.2 (levels start at 100, so on the buy side a factor of 0.2 adds 0.2 to the levels: 100+0.2=100.2)
- Momentum Filter Sell Side — If true, the slave will only accept sell trades from the master if the momentum value is below the momentum level.
For example, if we want to make a buy trade when H1’s momentum (20) is below level=99.8, we specify: Momentum Filter Sell Side = true Configure Momentum Timeframe = H1, Momentum Filter Period=20Momentum Coefficient = 0.2 (Levels start at 100, so a sell side coefficient of 0.2 subtracts 0.2 from the levels: 100-0.2=98.8)
- Momentum Filter Buy Side Reverse — If true, the slave will accept buy trades from the master only if the momentum value is below the momentum level.
- Momentum Filter Sell Side Reverse — If true, the slave will only accept sell trades from the master if the momentum value is above the momentum level.
- Momentum filter time frame — Indicates the time frame of momentum.
- Momentum filter period — Indicates a period of momentum. Default is 45.
- momentum filter coefficient — Indicates the momentum factor to add/subtract to level 100. Default is 0.2.
-
- Rsi Filter Buy Side — if true, the slave will only accept buy trades from the master if the RSI value is above the RSI level
For example, if you want to place a buy trade when H1 RSI (20) is greater than level=55, specify: RSI filter buy side = true Configure RSI filter timeframe = H1, RSI filter period = 20and RSI filter level = 5 (Levels start at 50, so filter level = 5, on the buy side add 5 to the level: 50+5=55)
- Rsi Filter Sell Side — If true, the slave will only accept sell trades from the master if the RSI value is below the RSI level.
For example, if you want to place a sell trade when the H1 RSI (20) is below the 45 level, specify: Sell Side of RSI Filter = true Configure RSI filter timeframe = H1, RSI filter period = 20and RSI filter level = 5 (Levels start at 50, so filter level = 5, on the sell side, subtract 5 from the level: 50-5 = 45)
- Rsi Filter By Side Reverse — If true, the slave will only accept buy trades from the master if the RSI value is below the RSI level.
- Rsi Filter Sell Side Reverse — If true, the slave will only accept sell trades from the master if the RSI value is above the RSI level.
- Rsi filter timeframe — Indicates the time frame of momentum.
- Rsi filter period — RSI period. Default is 35.
- Rsi filter level — RSI level 50 (0), any number is added (subtracted) to 50 in a buy (sell) trade.
RSI Filter Level=5 means buy when RSI is above 55 and sell when RSI is below 45.
- AtrExit Filter Buy Side — If true, the slave will accept buy trades from the master only if the ATRExit trend is up.
- AtrExit Filter Sell Side — If true, the slave will only accept sell trades from the master if the ATRExit Trend is DOWN.
- AtrExit Filter By Side Reverse — If true, the slave will only accept buy trades from the master if the ATRExit trend is down.
- AtrExit Filter Sell Side Reverse — If true, the slave will accept buy trades from the master only if the ATRExit trend is up.
- AtrExit filter timeframe — Indicates the timeframe for ATRExit.
- Atr period — ATR period
- Atr factor — ATR Factor
