GreenGeeks will be attending WordCamp Phoenix in 2023. Jackson’s event space March 24th and 25th. Also, if you can’t attend in person, both tracks of the talk will be streamed and recorded for you to watch online.
I personally like the idea of being able to watch talks remotely. Not all of us have the time or money to travel across the country to attend these wonderful sessions.
What’s available at WordCamp Phoenix 2023?
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced developer, WordCamps always has something for everyone. The best part is that WordCamp isn’t strictly limited to WordPress.
In fact, there are many talks that can broaden your knowledge on everything from marketing to understanding Search Console’s Core Web Vitals.
This year, you can find talks like:
- Content UX: How to Create a Great Reader Experience – In this presentation, Maddy Osman discusses how to improve the user experience of your content. This includes understanding Google’s algorithms and how they can adapt quickly.
- Intensive Block Editor and Site-Wide Editing Courses for Freelancers and Agencies – One of the latest additions to WordPress is full site editing capabilities to customize your website. Here, Keanan Koppenhaver helps you understand what it is and how to use it.
- How to scale WordPress/WooCommerce – If you’re interested in launching an online store, Robert Windisch can help. In this talk, you’ll learn how best to scale WordPress and WooCommerce to your business needs.
- Grow your social media and audience – Social media plays a key role in today’s success. And Darreyl Davis can help with this talk about creating engaging content and attracting more followers and subscribers.
- Blogging in the AI Age: How to Stay Relevant and Competitive – There is no doubt that artificial intelligence will take hold. In this talk, Cheryl Marquez discusses how to stay relevant while competing with AI-generated content.
That’s just a handful of what you’ll find at this year’s WordCamp in Phoenix. Too many interesting things to name in a quick blog post. And many of them listen as they watch remotely.
Phoenix AZ Facts During WordCamp
Over the years we have attended or sponsored several WordCamps in Phoenix. And if there’s one thing you can count on, it’s the warm sunshine, even in the middle of winter.
The desert landscape isn’t the only interesting thing about Phoenix.
- Phoenix has only one endemic palm tree (California fan palm). All other types found in the region were imported throughout his 1900s for their design aesthetics.
- More than 1,000 miles of original canals and ditches now used for irrigation in Phoenix were dug between 570 and 1400 years ago.
- In the last 73 years, Phoenix has grown from the 100th largest city in the United States to the 5th largest city.
