Fez Smart Factory Competition Invites Applicants for Four Ecosystem Components
The Fez Smart Factory Competition invites applications from innovative companies to participate in one of four components of the FSF ecosystem:
- Fez smart factory accelerator (for startups): Reception area for start-ups with intelligent industrial unit development projects for high value-added and competitive products.
- R&D services for Industry 4.0 (for R&D entities): The Fez Smart Factory competition aims to select five R&D entities to reside in a space dedicated to R&D services in the FSF ecosystem. One entity per industry sector will be selected from among the companies covered by the FSF ecosystem. (see list of focus areas below)
- Engineering services for Industry 4.0 (for engineering companies): The Fez Smart Factory competition aims to select 10 engineering companies located in a space dedicated to engineering services in the FSF ecosystem. They are selected based on technology and use case, from predictive maintenance to optimal energy management to cloud solutions and more. (see list of focus areas below)
- Business Center 4.0 (for small businesses and large enterprises): This component of the FSF ecosystem will provide residential space for SMEs and large companies and industrial units wishing to invest in Morocco in the field of Industry 4.0.

The FSF ecosystem is supported by the Fund for Sustainable Industrial Zones (FONZID) following a competitive call for projects jointly launched by the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency (MCA-Morocco) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. FONZID is part of the ‘Industrial Land’ activity under the ‘Compact II’ cooperation programme, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and whose implementation has been entrusted to the MCA-Morocco Agency.
