DaysByron Bay’s Organica Beverages’ new brand, , introduces an innovative beverage category known as ‘functional spritz’.
Co-founded by surfers Jack Freestone and Alana Blanchard, Day’s Zero Alcohol Beverage is made from plant-based extracts and contains adaptogens, which are said to help the body cope with stress by regulating cortisol levels. It incorporates reported botanicals) and nootropics believed to enhance cognitive function. .
The pair say it gives people a “functional buzz” without hangovers or extra calories.
They have names like “Awakening”, “Easing”, and “Glimmer”.
Awaken is a pink grapefruit with “gin-inspired” notes infused with ginkgo, green tea and ginseng. Glimmer is a functional spritz of rose and hibiscus with sweet white wine notes infused with L-Theanine, Ashwagandha and Brahmi.
They are now focused on exploring more functional extracts to continue innovating new drinks.
Organica CEO Tom Woolley describes Dayse as “the future of drinking,” with premium alcohol-free spritzers infused with wellness extracts.
“As consumption of non-alcoholic beverages increases, naturally people will start looking for some effect that enhances their drinking experience,” he said.
“Our mission with Deise is to continue creating innovative, premium adult beverages that offer the positive effects of alcohol without the regrets often associated with it.”
Freestone and Blanchard represent a change in behavior among young consumers who are reducing their alcohol consumption.
