Avenue Supermarts, which owns and operates retail chain Dmart, reported on Saturday that its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended 31 March 2023 increased by 7.81% to Rs 460.1 billion.
Avenue Supermart said it posted a net profit of 426.75 million rupees in the January-March quarter a year ago.
Operating income increased by 20.57% to Rs 10,594.11 million for the quarter compared to Rs 8,786.45 million for the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Total expenses of Avenue Supermart amounted to Rs 10,022.1 million, up 21.82% from Rs 8,210.13 million for the same quarter of Q4 FY2023.
Avenue Supermart’s total revenue in the March quarter increased by 20.5% to Rs 10.62718 billion.
Avenue Supermart’s net profit for the year ended March 2023 increased by 59.36% to Rs 2,378.34 million. It had reported a net profit of Rs 1,492.4 million in the previous financial year.
Consolidated operating revenue for FY2011 was 42,839.56 million rupees, up 38.3% from the previous year.
