In this clip, Wealthtech reporter Justin L. Mack chats with Rob Sandrew. Chief Growth Officer, Integrated PartnersA veteran with over 20 years of industry experience first entered the industry Wholesale and calling in the 90’s RIA market. Currently, he oversees recruitment initiatives for this Boston-based firm, which has more than 200 of his advisors, 165 certified public accountants, and 60 of his regional offices nationwide. .
The fast-growing RIA supported those numbers when it announced at the end of February Acquisition of Laurel Wealth Advisorsis a California-based independent advisory firm with 30 advisors and more than $2.25 billion in assets.
Given his role on Integrated, Sandrew is all about movement. Whether it’s an advisor looking for a new home or the direction of an entire industry, he’s focused on hitting the mark.
and Future Proof 2022Sandrieu noted a slowdown in advisor recruitment leading up to the event, but said things were heating up again with everyone out on the beach. I gave Mack an outlook on the future of our efforts.
“It’s been a very exciting year. We’re really in the acquisition game and we’re looking forward to announcing some things over the next few months,” said Sandrew. He added that finding an advisory team aligned with their objectives as they expand their footprint is more than an industry story.
“I think it’s the old adage of ‘know who you are and who you’re not.’ bring…they may have different business models.not that it is wrong or right.but we may not be the perfect partner .
As for what was driving the move’s rally to close out 2022, Sandrieu said it’s as simple as looking at the market itself.
“I’ve been doing this for a long time (and) I don’t think it’s any different than it used to be in the sense that people tend to endure a fair amount of pain when things are going well.” Well, that’s where that trouble mode comes into play,’ he said. ‘The other thing is that our business has evolved. It’s been very exciting, because I think it’s been three years since we’ve seen the kind of models that are out there, the capabilities that we’ve been able to develop so that companies like us can leverage advisors to better support their customer base. It’s moving. It’s an ever-changing goal and the level of sophistication continues to rise. It’s a really fascinating time to be in this industry.”
