What is WordCamp Asia?
Traditionally, WordCamp events have been held in places like Europe, America, and Centro America as community learning spaces for people interested in all things WordPress.
But this year, the event organizers will launch Asia’s first flagship WordCamp, kicking things off in the iconic Thai city of Bangkok. The event will be held within the True Icon Hall within the mixed development space. Icon Siam. Many shopping, dining, and extra-curricular activities are also available here, all held at the same location.
New to WordCamp? Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect:
Traditional WordCamp events bring together creators and innovators (from all industries and backgrounds) to share their WordPress open source software ideas.

What is the difference between WordCamp and other conventions?
Unlike other conventions, there is no endless line of sellers pitching their products at WordCamp.
Alternatively, you can find informal gatherings in the corridors between sessions called hallway tracks. There, people can network, share insights from their favorite industries, and discuss important events in their respective fields.
Although we have an active sponsor area, these brands are interested in building relationships and being part of the WordPress community.

One of the most important ways to empower WordCamp attendees is the Contributor Day. As you may have noticed, WordCamp has an event about boats. In Porto, we sailed on a pirate ship for WordCamp Europe 2022, and again in San Diego for WordCamp US 2022.We’re still working out the details and getting ready to collect RSVPs, but we’re actually planning to have another boat.
